Banquet at Robins AFB
Robins AFB is the largest employer here. It is also a big supporter of Little League Baseball. It hosted a banquet on Sunday afternoon for all the teams, parents, Umpires and umpire guests. All players and Umpires were in uniform.
There are 3 cities in the County of Houston, GA. They pronounce Houston as those it should be spelled Houseton. The 3 cities are Warner Robins, Perry, and Centerville. Yep, I travelled all that distance and wound up at home again. The Mayors of each city attended.
It seemed the biggest hit of the banquet was the game of corn hole between the teams. This was another way for them to interact off the field.
All of the teams were introduced and brought onto the stage by Jen. Next, we were introduced. We were given a standing ovation that seemed to last forever. We won't forget it.
