Consolation Game (s)

Another chance to expand Jim Evan's theory that every pitch and every play is important to someone.  Games at 10 AM and 1 PM.

I had 3B in the 10 AM game.  The first game between North and South Carolina was a good game, close.

The 1 PM game between Virginia and Tennessee was a lopsided game, but it became that way gradually.  Funny that the TN Manager pitched one player until the pitch count took him out of the game and the Virginia Manager changed pitchers almost every inning.  Not being critical, just stating a fact.

Again, nothing really to tell about the game, except that a trouble ball down the LF line that I went out on was really hard to see as it cleared the first fence but then bounced over the second fence behind it, making it look like a double instead of a home run.

The news stated the temperature was 99.  One huge thunderstorm hit the area right after the conclusion of the game.  I still think the Challenger game was the hottest.
